Copper-Gold

The copper-gold cone and cap finish uses our "soft" surface treatment. The process delivers a higher density coating which increases the mass of the moving components. The cone has a slightly lower flex resistance than our grey "hard" treatment. The result is a driver with a very sweet character which retains musical detail.

Gun-Metal Grey

The Gun Metal Grey cone and cap finish utilises is our "hard" surface treatment. The process delivers a lower density coating, reducing the mass of the moving components. The cone has a slightly higher flex resistance than our copper-gold "soft" treatment. The result is a driver with a very detailed musical delivery. The middle to high range particularly benefits, percussion and string instruments are vibrant.

Much effort has placed in shaping the cone to deliver a flatter response up to 10kHz while retaining its characteristic +9dB gain above 10kHz. The total Q has also been raised to deliver a sharper LF fall-off for easier integration for those builders using sub-woofers. Crossover designs also benefit, as the usable frequency range remains wide and better defined.
