Alpair 5 Grey

The Alpair 5 is a special driver. It's a single suspension driver with no spider. The design optimizes low range performance. Compared to typical tweeters, the large cone area delivers more detail in the middle and high range. The Alpair 5 is easy to partner with sub woofers and larger drivers. It's also useful unit on its own for mini audio and desktop applications.

The gun-metal grey cone and cap finish uses our "hard" surface treatment. The process delivers a low-density coating that reduces the mass of the cone and produces a high degree of rigidity. The result is a driver with a very precise character in the middle and high range that delivers ultra fine level of musical detail.

Features

Much effort has placed in shaping the cone to deliver a flatter response up to 10kHz while retaining its characteristic +9dB gain above 10kHz. The total Q has also been raised to deliver a sharper LF fall-off for easier integration for those builders using sub-woofers. Crossover designs also benefit, as the usable frequency range remains wide and better defined.
