6T Small Ported Box DesignThe 6T is a very flexible driver. This 1.7 litre ported box design is just one example of the many applications for the 6T. The port is tuned to a frequency of 98Hz and a simply step filter is suggested to help boost the lower frequency response. The value of the resistor and inductor can be adjusted to suit a box design, amplification and listening tastes. For a box of this size we recommend an inductor around 0.6 to 0.8mH with a DCR no higher than 0.15 Ohms. The resistor helps to restore the high frequency response so we recommend values of 5 watts+ and between 2 to 4 ohms. |
